TGI Fridays Restaurant History

The TGI Fridays restaurant chain has been around since since the first one opened in New York City 1965. It featured standard American cuisine. The restaurant was located at the corner of 63rd St. and First Ave. The exterior had a red and white striped awning and the inside had wooden floors, bentwood chairs,striped tablecloths, brass rails and stained glass. The employees were young and wore fun uniforms, and every time someone had a birthday, the entire restaurant crew came around with a birthday cake and sang Friday's birthday song.
